There is an indigenous story about an eagle dropping a whale onto a part along Cascadia where you can physically see the land has dropped significantly. This was before written history in that part of the world. But in Japan they have a record of a rogue tsunami they didn't know where it came from. Turns out the eagle and whale (earthquake) caused that rouge tsunami. Somewhere in the 1500s I think. Amazing stuff.

I am only nine and listening to this
This is wonderful, but as a retired-commercial diver old enough to remember falling in love with Jacques Cousteau's series, I feel there should be more divers in the water around the ROV. I think we need to hear the sonnorous tone of Cousteau's voice lulling us to sleep with the knowledge that ''we are all creatures born of the sea and that the sea is indeed our universal mother.'' 🥰 I would suggest hiring divers to swim back and forth with equipment, holding cameras, and playfully teasing fish. They don't have to be marine biologists, just scuba certified actors who look good underwater. Everyone is tan, there will be lobster for supper, wine with the fish, smoking is acceptable. Red beanies on the crew are optional, but always welcome.

Wow, this episode is mind-blowing 🤯🌊 The way they "drain" the Pacific to reveal hidden wrecks, ancient mysteries, and even the terrifying power of natural disasters is just incredible.
Amazing documentary! But sometimes I wonder if we call the Pacific “mysterious” simply because we still haven’t explored enough of it. Maybe the real mystery is how little humanity truly knows about the ocean. 🌊

That was truly an informative video. We’ve been exploring the ocean for a long time, but it seems we’ve only uncovered a small part of it. There are still so many mysteries out there. I wish I could walk along the ocean floor just once, to see for myself how much is still hidden from our eyes.
