Nobody will hire some rando who completes a bootcamp and lies around, you need to make projects, contribute, and put the work in and your portfolio will shine
In my understanding, it's mostly depend on skill. I was a journalist and no idea about programming. I just changed carrier 8 months ago and now I'm already a full time junior mobile dev. I had no IT related background and I don't even have a degree. During my learning process, I make a bunch of random apps, a lot. My github is a mess and filled with a lot of unfinished projects but I have them like 20 or something. In my interview, the interviewer review a code test they give me and said it was horrible but they said you have potential and might do better with some guidance and this is how I get a job. I'm self taught btw.
Practice more guys, build your own projects and upload them to prod, share links, show what you can, only tutorials won’t help.

This use to be true years ago … BUT. People with 4 year college degrees AND. Internship experience are struggling finding good jobs … what makes him think a 4 month Bootcamp is going to trump that

Correlation =/= causation. People that take bootcamps often do other things along with it that land them those jobs.

I took a bootcamp myself, but most bootcamps will consider you getting paid for writing a google sheet script for below minimum wage on Upwork as landing a job. That 71% is pretty misleading. They also don’t separate the people that took the bootcamp that have a degree. They lump bootcamp + degree, bootcamp + experience, and only bootcamp students into same category. That being said getting started is the hardest part. If a boot bootcamp gets you started then it’s worth it I guess.

Best tip is that you need to have proof youre bringing something to the company. Since youre taking a bootcamp that means you have no degree to speak off as proof. So instead complete a few projects to have solid proof that you atleast know what the fuck is going on before they consider hiring you to nurture your talent to better provide service to the company. So start coding and prove you have something valuable to bring into the company.
I got a job 3 months after bootcamp i think its the other way around spending years on a degree and u don't know a thing about coding and expectating to get a job and waste ton on money seems useless to me.
