I used to go to Lambda a few months ago. I’m in another school now. But Lambda is not the move right now. In my opinion , I would stay away until further notice. They are still changing the curriculum & faculty/staff. Stuff on the website is old.
I quit lambda they changed mid-way through. Tons of others in my unit quit as well. The support system and TL’s were the backbone of the school until they took them away.
Hey friend! Again, there are PLENTY of ways to become a software developer, a lot of them free. But IF you have decided you for sure want to go to a coding school, then check out Lambda School: /9WVJ3Y Also check out the comments for other friends' experiences!
Thank you for your content. I enjoy it so much. I really appreciate how you don’t sugar coat anything about the reality of working in the tech industry and what it takes to actually succeed.
I don't know about Lambda school but I think for any person going to a boot camp, they need to supplement their own learning with Google outside of the class. Also, they have to be fine with feeling frustrated while learning...that doesn't go away 😭 And can I share some feedback? Putting text on the screen without saying it out loud makes it harder for people who are visually impaired and use screenreaders to consume content. Is there a way to put the questions and answers in the description?
I’m looking forward to the anime intro
I am currently working on my associates in: IT:computer programming and development. How hopeful is it to be able to get a job after getting my associates, while working on my bachelors?
Lambda is currently being sued and thus changed it name.
A full stack of work. Thanks for the video I appreciate the word!
This video was very helpful. I’m not gonna lie, my plan was to enroll for a coding boot camp for at least two to three months but then, I realize that’s not gonna happen 😂
I switched my major about a year ago to cs. Not gonna lie since classes were online I cheated a lot. I’m tryna learn how to actually learn Java this summer before I go into fall. I only need to learn programming 1. Is there free Java courses that are good to learn from
My I ask how old are you ? I’m 22 and i want to become a software engineer .but I’m afraid it’s too late and i’m too old for it, because I’ve heard companies like to hire younger people on their 20’s and I’m afraid my age would be a problem
Thank you! you saved me from stressing over not finding the funds for this expensive bootcamp i found. I'm gonna warm up with this info first and I need to be more patient and dedicated.
M'benda N'dour, you are awesome! Can you do a video about the best/affordable online Computer Science University? I am currently attending FHSU online and I hate it. After paying a lot of $$$, all they do is have you buy a book and self teach yourself!!! No lectures, no pre-recorded videos, very little interaction with the teachers, very little interaction with other students. The teachers seem rude and condescending. They don't seem to care at all. It's a horrifying experience that makes you want to quit. Help!
So is a college degree necessary? How much does a degree in Computer science affect getting a job?
I already have a B.B.A. in Managerial Science which is basically business analytics and operations management. However, I recently had the urge to become to a frontend web developer. I was wondering from your personal point of view based on your experiences, do you think it would be more beneficial for me to go back to school to get a B.S. in Computer Science? Maybe some sort of certificate program?
One other thing that I wish my bootcamp had done more with is automated testing frameworks. It's something that has come up time and time again at my job and it's something you'll want to have a handle on. Although thinking about it, I don't know that any of the bootcamps I researched ever mentioned testing as a part of their curricula, so good luck on that ( can you confirm or refute this?).
does anyone have any opinions about the columbia engineering coding bootcamp, it seems really good but I don't see many youtube videos about it specifically but from the curriculum I could find, it covers everything she said to look out for
This is the most comprehensive review of a boot camp I've seen on YouTube. Thank you so much for your time! The name of this company has changed since you uploaded the video; it's now Bloom Institute of Technology.
Thanks for sharing this ❤️
