Here’s the TRUTH about moist cakes…👇🏽 It’s all in the recipe you choose. Some recipes use ingredients that will naturally moisten the cake like oil, mayonnaise or sour cream. But sometimes, even the best recipes can dry out depending on how they are being used. To avoid this, simple syrup is a great option. Did you know you can make flavored simple syrups too? And I always have to keep it real with you. You just won’t find the same level of moistness and longevity in a scratch cake as a cake mix. Scientifically you just can’t. Cake mixes are specifically formulated to be moist and stay moist. So keep this in mind when you are testing your recipes. I have a video on my channel where I share where to get the best recipes for beginner bakers. So check it out when you get a chance!
