Even within Limpopo, pap is different between the different ethnicities. Tsonga people don't use salt but may ferment it or use a bit of vinegar. The vendas also eat it different with dirrent soft textures . Edi people also eat it with salt or fermented and can use brown maize, yellow or more indigenous ones. Food is very much deep rooted in different cultures. Respect is the most important thing.
