AI companies are firing workers to increase revenue for more AI capex. They are not being replaced by AI (yet)
In Mississippi, the MAXIMUM unemployment benefit is $235 per week. Imagine trying to live off of that while searching for a new job.
Do they understand that if people get laid off & have no income, they don’t have money. If they don’t have money, they can't buy anything or pay for any services. Goodby Starbucks, McDonalds, movies, streaming services, new computer/phones/earplugs, clothes, private schools, new cars, etc, etc.
One thing overlooked with AI job losses....who's going to be around to be a consumer? No jobs for millions of people means few can afford to purchase the things businesses manufacture. Kinda defeats the purpose of all this efficiency.
But corporations keep saying don't worry about losing jobs to automation or AI because plenty of "new" jobs will open up. Really? 😒
So, do we really need a chatty chrome that bad.?
I’m thinking the latest jobs report was fudged. Corruption at the Labor Department is to be expected, as with corruption in every aspect of this administration. Ain’t no way unemployment dropped and jobs were added. False.
Decimating the middle class is a feature not a bug for the AI revolution.
People forget that the whole reason we went with capitalist system was because it promised us better jobs and lifestyles. Take the human social benefit away and why does it need to exist in the first place?
Why do you think they need a big budget for the military? People will be desperate for work...
Bezos definitely will be laying off workers because he going to use Ai and robotics to do the labor in his factories.!! It’s already started add t mobile you can get a person to pay your bill it Al. Dominos order Is AI generated.!! Eventually you won’t be dealing with a human being anymore. Meaning hundreds of people will not have a job.!! The cartoon the Jetsons is being real life. We now have air flight taxis.!!
The only people that care about AI are the wealthiest. The rest of us are bypassing it. It's about as real as billionaires taxes.
I’ve spent my whole life almost buying the idea that corporate heads deserved special privileges because they were “job creators”. If this the natural course of our economic evolution, something has to give.
AI needs to be heavily regulated if not banned. It will be the end of our civilization.
Every company that has implemented AI has regretted it. It's all an illusion to discourage the proletariat. Don't buy the hype. Organize and arm your workforce.
Amazing ❤❤
What's the information sector? That sounds like anything that uses a computer
1%? AI may begin the revolution. Just sayin'.
Sounds like a prescription for a violent revolution unless we adopt a basic income. I’m not optimistic. The Oligarchs are very greedy.
Pay off all your debt and stop being job dependant. Stop purchasing unnecessary tech.
