I work in IT but this is precisely why I don’t work for a tech company. These tech companies have their employees build AI and once it gets good enough, send them packing.

FYI: I thought she (Alejandra Hernandez) was an SWE at Meta when actually she was an HR there! (She has a LinkedIn). This news report portrays her as a tech worker, but she was actually on the management side of things.

I gave up trying to land a white collar office job. Fed up with the rat race and saw AI coming so I decided to pivot into the electrical trade and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made.
