AI isn’t “creating jobs.” It’s replacing them. 92,000 positions wiped out in 2026 so far. In the past 30 days alone, we’ve seen layoffs across Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, Salesforce, Oracle, Snap Inc., and even Nike — all while AI spending explodes toward a projected $700 BILLION buildout. Companies are cutting workers to fund AI, not because they’re failing — which means this isn’t cyclical… it’s structural. And here’s what nobody wants to admit: 👉 The gap between job loss and job creation is widening — fast 👉 The “new jobs” argument doesn’t help the people losing jobs today 👉 The middle layer of the workforce is getting squeezed out This is not a slowdown. This is a permanent shift in how companies operate — and it directly impacts job security, income growth, and long-term career stability. They are cutting jobs because business is bad. AI is just the cover story. You can't rake in advertising dollars in a world where consumer sentiment is worse than any time in recorded human history.
AI the new excuse to fire people and protect margins.
Companies aren’t laying people off because they’re in trouble. They’re laying people off to pay for AI. That means this doesn’t reverse when the economy “improves.” It accelerates. For deeper monthly risk signals, legal pattern analysis, and what may break next, join Risk Map Monthly here: /
The End of Empire is very near. Prepare.
Cutting jobs and printing 40 billion of fake money a month. Sounds like driving a nation into the ground.
Job losses are customer losses and the dominoes continue falling down.
i worked in this market vertical. the custs have nothing to do with efficiency. i has to donwith freeing cash flow to keep this bubble going.
Young people should get into the Skilled Trades. Things you do with your hands are hard to replace with AI. Plus you usually have no debt after training unlike college
It is also unwinding overhiring in the permissive money era post covid.
Thank you brother 🤝 Looks like we are heading into some very tough times ahead, I’m getting my garden in ,food cost are insane . Blessings sir have a great weekend 🙏🏼🕊️❤️
My multinational has already started slashing AI related budgets and headcount. Management may have used the tools, the staff did not... once they start charging folks the actual running costs for these models folks will panic, right now those running costs are being hidden in the massive losses they're making.
What are they building? Nothing! This is all parasitic money manipulation. USA INC makes nothing but destruction and death. My advise to Americans still able to think clearly is grow a garden and learn to run a chainsaw.
They over hired. So many people do nothing of any value at all in these corporate jobs... they could lay off 30 to 40% and have no effect at all.
Meta, Amazon, etc, are cutting jobs to raise capital to build data centers. Its not that ai has replaced positions themselves.
I really question the narrative. A company like Meta is not replacing jobs with AI, they are cutting jobs because they are a producer of AI, and their AI is an abject failure. Other companies are outsourcing to cheaper labor countries, or cutting back because the poor economy is cutting demand for whatever their overpriced product is. I have yet to see any company actually replacing any job with AI successfully.
Ox: the ROI is not there for the product. AI has to be sold at a steep loss for any of this to work. If the actual cost were charged to customers no one could afford the product
Hopefully AI won't start painting section 8 rentals on the south side of Chicago, cause I'm too old to work at McDonald's.... Great Info as always My Guy
That's 92 thousand highly talented former workers, some of whom may get up to mischief, against their old companies.
It is a huge mistake. LLMs are not going to ever be that valuable. These companies can not re-coup the cost of what they are doing. Such a waste of money and resources. AI has value in limited applications, but most people will not be willing to pay the true cost of it.
Yep jobs suck. Today my daughters 14 18 are practicing aerospace tig welding and making 200 dollars fixing some custom shelving.
