Timmy , as a grandmother, please make a car small backpack for eating in car.....include paper towels/napkins, plastic silverware (go to a dollar store grab a small mixed bag, straws, wipes, maybe a cheap plastic tablecloth at dollar store too, ziploc Baggies, etc. Then no matter if places forget you might have it.. I'd also put any leftover sauces, paper products, etc from a place in the bag after eating. Years ago my daughter played district soccer so lots of dinners were in car after game on way home!
Over Mother's Day I was visiting with my 76 year old mother and I showed her your videos and now she had me sub to you on her YouTube so she can watch you. She kept saying "I really want to keep watching him!" So...new fan.

I work at Panera, and I'm the one who prepares the breads. They are not the baguettes that are included in meals as a free side. Those are in the style of French Baguettes, these are in the style of Italian Loaf Bread. What we do is cut each one in half, and then gut out the insides, like gutting a pumpkin to make a Jack-O-Lantern. I'm not a fan of doing that as it's wasteful. I wish we would have just done Wraps as I've had people ask for wraps forever, but never had anyone ask for a salad stuffed into a bread. I will say though that I've seen and read maybe 10 or so reviews of these and everyone was positive. One even said that from now on she only wanted salads if they were served inside bread. They sell fairly well, but honestly they are kind of a pain and again wasteful. We donate leftover bread, bagels and pasties, but we can't donate the guts of these breads. Even though they aren't full of artificial ingredients, they are not good for wildlife so we can't just toss the HUGE pile of bread guts out into the nearby woods. It all just goes into the trash, and if we cut 20 loaves to make 40 halves each day, it's a LOT of wasted bread innards. I'm glad that Timmy enjoyed it, and I'm glad that anyone who has had these likes them, but I hope that they don't stay on the menu, and I really hope that Panera instead goes to wraps. Thanks for this!
