You've reached the end
"My food doesn't come from farms. It comes from the supermarket"
I remember a quote: "You will starve surrounded by gold." EDIT: The source is a phrase used to describe the Deadly Sin of Greed of the 7 Sins.
"Man, despite his artistic pretensions, his sophistication, and his many accomplishments, owes his existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains."
sounds like room for data centers
It's almost like the stock market doesn't reflect the actual value of a company but the perceived value....
Looks like we'll be having chips for dinner...
*Imagine a bubble, that is worth more than Agricultural culture of a country, bursting.... Now THAT'S A BLAST*
Money is such a wild metric for how much something is worth, I'd take the farmland Edit: take for example the worth of china's manufacturing vs nvidia, I would say the equivalent of what nvidia is worth messured against the price of their assets and how much china can acually produce with that money shows that using money is not a fair metric.
I too remember a quote: “people go bankrupt two ways: slowly and then suddenly.”
The price of commodities and luxury items will go down but the price of your necessities such as food and shelter will become unaffordable
When the financebros come dangerously close to self-awareness:
When you can SMELL the bubble
"Are we the baddies" type skit 😂
“Eat the rich” is gonna take on a new context
Reminds me of that one guy I've been seeing on shorts who runs a farm who says that economic systems that see money as the ends and not the means will prioritize expensive things over necessities.
Yep, spot on. Reminds me of something said in the Chernobyl miniseries: "Why worry about something that isn't going to happen".
That moment when you realise you need to eat food and you can't eat AI. 😂
Yes, the planet got destroyed. But for a beautiful moment in time we created a lot of value for shareholders.”
God when this bubble bursts it’s gonna be catastrophic isn’t it Edit: just wanna make it clear that I am thoroughly anti-AI and want the bubble to burst despite the chaos that would follow that.
This is my favorite market indicator: the Pops Indicator. The second my dad starts talking about a stock, I know the top is in. This AI bubble is going to pop so hard, Nvidia’s next earnings call might need airbags. What a time to be barely alive.
