I have two dogs who are thankfully naturally non-reactive. One is a mini Australian shepherd, who is the smartest dog I’ve ever seen. She’s less worried about other dogs than I am!

Hi! I love all of your videos so much. I have a lab that is fear reactive. The videos you post always encourage me to keep training her and keep on trying ❤️

My rescue was the same way. VERY reactive to both people and all animals. He now walks around and ignores all the animals unless they make sudden jerking movements then a light correction resets him. People tho? He still hates them, and im going to be honest, me too buddy

My mum adopted a collie last year. We were told he had been bought for a 6 year old who was totally responsible for him! Then about 4 months in, they dump him in a rescue. Thr rescue is overfull, and he's not socialised. So a local trainer (k9 sports/police stuff with german shepherds mainly) took him in. From what we can work out, he spent most of his time alone in a barn in a stall for nearly a year. When he came to us, he loved humans, somehow! But he was deathly scared of dogs and would react to weird things (one of the biggest triggers turned out to be one of those little tykes plastic toddle cars, which i think says a lot). We recently swapped him to a new vets, and whilst he was getting the snip, they did some xrays, and ended up doing a whole body scan. They found old fractures across his ribs, his tail, and one leg. He came to us with barely any tail hair that felt singed, as though he had caught on fire. He was very hungry. A year later and he's (almost) a totally different dog! My mum has put a *lot* of work into him, and he's now training to be an assistant dog (uk version of a service dog). He naturally alerts to my cardiac issues, and has started to alert to her when she is pushing too hard. He has grown about 4kg in a year, but is still small for a male collie, especially one that was intact until recently. I must say, getting the snip early once he started showing signs definitely helped to stop bad habits forming. I'm just amazed that he is so sweet and loving. He loves little children and babies, and meeting folks. He comes with me and i take him out for a run with my mobility scooter sometimes. He's such an awesome dog, and i cannot wait to see where he goes from here ❤

This is amazing! My Bernedoodle is reactive like that and im trying to teach her as you taught Koda. May i ask how did you get him to ignore other dogs and how do you stay so calm at times like that?
