Software architect. Applied to over 6000 jobs. Only 20 interviews. And those interviews were not serious. No one is hiring. This is great depression levels.

I've owned 2 of the largest professional resume writing services in Colorado and North Carolina for the past 15 years. Done very well for many years. However, starting in January 2025, my sales started plummeting. First down by 30%, then 50%, now my company's are almost non existent. Sales are down over 90%. Between AI and extremely bad jobs market, it's never been this bad. Worse by the month.

The same thing is happening to me . Single male, no kids, engineers degree can't find a job. Went on antidepressants meds . Get calls and interviews but no job. Before 2025 I was able to land a job within 3weeks.. somethings not good
AI is not having an impact yet outside of tech. I am in Houston TX and for the first time since 2008, the jobs market is absolutely horrible. Recruiters are saying that they have never seen a market like this. Companies stopped hiring during the summer of 2025. If this is happening around the country, we are going to have a major problem with employment.

I know here in PA that 20 years ago if you called to check up on the status of your application and kept contact, it really showed you wanted that job. Now it gets you marked as a nuisance and either moved to the bottom of the pile or the trash bin
