the way companies will give out literal mountains of food for free while there are people in this country that can't afford any will always be crazy to me 😭😭 not blaming karissa at all i think most of us would accept a package of free food the concept is just wild

I worked at salt and straw and the owners were genuinely awful people. Won’t go into the legally concerning stuff to protect myself but one of the bosses said mental health was fake (after a girl took a day off when her grandmother died) and that homeless people should just get jobs (one of the employees also threatened an unhoused woman across the street with a knife and nothing was done because it wasnt company property) and the other owner wouldn’t even speak to the workers in the kitchen he would speak in front of you to a manager and tell them to tell you something and was generally a dick and there’s sooooo much more. The ice cream is great because the workers put hella work into it but we got treated like shit while doing it.
