Lovely, would love to see the same for the Radeon Adrenalin app next!
You could make a RenoDX HDR MOD video on Monitors Unboxed man, people NEED to know widely about this amazing feature.
The people who say they cannot tell 60 vs 120+ have to be encountering that issue. Cuz lord knows I can immediately tell just with the mouse cursor on the desktop. Just immediately “woah something isn’t right”
The overlay has a major vram leak issue, my rtx 4090 even has ran out of vram thanks to the nvidia app.
remember folks limiting ur fps instead of letting ur pc run wild can make summer a lot more pleasant since it wont get as hot!
Sorry yes we showed RTX HDR for video playback towards the end of this video. To enable it in games, you need to add the RTX HDR filter via the overlay.
This is such a vital video. I'm a PC enthusiast like most people who view your channel, but even we get headaches from the Nvidia/AMD app settings. THANK YOU for making this because these apps are NOT user friendly.
Please make something similar for AMD Adrenaline.
I can feel when a monitor is not at the maximum refresh rate. It's weird.
15:57 this is about HDR Video, applicable to video playback only. RTX HDR for games are per-game settings, customizable as nvidia overlay filters.
WE need AMD too ❤
The Nvidia performance overlay would be perfect if it would show me my CPU temps. That's the only thing it's missing for me.
Lovely, would love to see the same for the Radeon Adrenalin app next! ......
Save 3 to 5 fps keep nvidia app overlay off
I think it's worth adding that the g-sync windowed option is not just legacy, it's also totally broken ever since WIndows 10 (it did work in Windows 7). Even when it "works", the display will randomly go from half to full refresh constantly, which feels and looks bad and can flicker. It also gives measurable random and fluctuating latency. Swapping to fullscreen exclusive in those games, fixes the issue entirely. Apps that are x64 and dx10 or newer, will be automatically converted to flip mode by Windows 11 and thus the g-sync fullscreen option will be fine with those and give proper VRR. For x32 apps and/or dx9 and older, you either need to use fullscreen exclusive, or mod the game to use flip mode, if you want VRR at all.
If you change the color depth from 8 bit to 10 bit it's important that you also disable "automatically manage color apps" on color management, as it makes everything look very washed out. It turns on when you change the color depth, at least for me.
You missed some of the Global Settings: Cache Shaders: Where you can select the size and in the the beta nvidia app you can actually compile the shaders outside the games. Low Latency Mode: Which let you select between ON, OFF and Ultra; Energy Management Mode: Where you can set to use Prefer Maximum Performance. Also, turning Nvidia Overlay you make you lose some FPS, more in some titles, less in other titles, but for folks using older cards it could be the difference between running at 60 ou 50/45 FPS.
I still use nvclean and nvidia inspector
and what about radeon?
Do Radeon Software next, please.
