Honestly your guess of $1000 sounds reasonable. Would not be surprised if valve took a loss or breaks even on it since they know the games is where all of revenue is at anyway

Well if the steam console gets some type of subscription base and maybe headphones and controllers they can charge the steam console about $600-800 and this is known by loss leading and it’s a common tactic from big companies

The lowest I see it is at $800 and the highest at $1200 so $1000 sounds like it could be the base price
