I found out about this years ago when I turned off YouTube trackers to stop getting ads, then they updated it to where YouTube won't work without the trackers :/ would give me an error message saying "please turn on ad trackers to use YouTube" or something with the little frowny face

turning it off only hides it from you... lol. They know who you are each time you log in. Time of day, locaiton, etc... over 60 different metrics on you in the old days, even without being logged in. They absolutely don't need that security check... that is just theater and farming labor for their AI training.
