Sony’s Bravia 7 Mark II might be one of the biggest TV surprises of 2026 so far. This RGB MiniLED TV delivers stunning accuracy, impressive HDR brightness, strong BT.2020 performance, and that unmistakable Sony image quality, all while landing far closer to the Bravia 9 II than I expected. But there are still a few quirks hiding under the surface. In this review, we break down: • RGB MiniLED performance • HDR brightness and color volume • Sony’s white-backlight mode surprise • Off-angle viewing and blooming • Accuracy measurements and BT.2020 coverage • Whether the Bravia 9 II still justifies the price jump And, yes, we'll talk about whether Sony made this TV too good. Caleb drops his Bravia 7 II video. A minute later, Vincent just said, Here’s my Bravia 9 II video 😂😂
Loving the HDR videos Caleb & Crew! Keep up the fantastic work
2 HDMI 2.1 inputs in 2026 is ridiculous.
Not having a gaming performance review in this day and age is a big miss, especially with other rgb tv's struggling with it.
Bravia is the Rolls Royce of TVs.
Hey everyone, please hear me loud and clear,. since the show wasn't enough, I'll tell: The Bravia 7 II's off-angle viewing is light years ahead of the previous model. Reflection handling, as we showed you, is OK, but I'm wouldn't put it opposit a window ( we showed what a brigth direct light did in the video).
*Important correction below!* What TV should I pit against this one? Also, the Quad will not do dual subs. Sorry! But you CAN upgrade or buy one of the new subs, including THE BAD-boy 9! Thanks to Zeke for willingly covering the errors we caught. No joke, we were working on this until 2 minutes before we could publish it.
I just saw the announcement for these TVs and I was like, “after this video I need to check if Caleb said anything about them”. Then his review pops up as the ‘watch next’ video. Love it
Damn I was really looking for new 77 oled
At the 98" size and sub $10k I am very interested to hear how the Bravia 7 ii bakes off against the TCL X11L
Thanks for the review Caleb! Great to have your review right exactly on the announcement day itself! Was not expecting that! Looking forward to that gaming test that you've stated to be in the works! That's the remaining thing to know before deciding if this TV checks all the boxes or if I should go for the Bravia 9 II. I'm kindda concerned that the Bravia 7 II seems to be using the same semi-gloss coating of the original Bravia 7 though. Light reflection may not be great and may end up being similar to the Bravia 7 which you've found to be mediocre. It doesn't seem that you've covered that here in the review. Would you be able to cover that in the gaming video? Additionally in terms of Viewing angle, would you say that it's as good as the 2024 Bravia 9? Better or worse?
Me and my dark room will stick with LG OLED and 4 full HDMI and soon 165 VRR. I'd actually like 5, 2 is a no go.
We are eating good today! Caleb has Bravia 7 II and Vincent releases Bravia 9 II!
I’m so happy you covered the Bravia 7 II while everyone else fell over themselves to cover the 9 II. Sometimes I think people forget that middle class people shop for TVs too. Like dang.
Imagine a day when top tv's get DisplayPort. Better bandwidth for free because they wouldn't have to pay the HDMI consortium fee.
Now I’m absolutely thirsty for a Theater Quad review from Caleb Rated!
Love your content man and have been following you since the before times! It would be amazing if you did a buying guide for TVs and sound bars that big box stores had locally. I get tons of questions from friends about TVs they should be picking up when they go to the store. I know they're not the greatest TVs but having a like sub $500 buying guide would be amazing! Keep up the great content!
Definitely interested to see the Reflection Handling, compared to the Bravia 9 II 🤓
4:18 so is the TV discounted for folks that will wall mount this and will never use the stand? granted, it does look really nice.
Fantastic review brother 👏🏻
