Sony has officially announced its 2026 BRAVIA TV lineup, led by the flagship BRAVIA 9 Mark II and the more accessible BRAVIA 7 Mark II featuring the company’s new True RGB LED backlight technology. But perhaps the biggest surprise is what Sony didn’t announce: there’s no brand-new OLED TV for 2026. Instead, Sony appears to be doubling down on RGB LED backlight technology, with major emphasis on HDR brightness, colour volume, anti-reflection performance and real-world living-room viewing. The BRAVIA 8 Mark II QD-OLED will continue in 55-inch and 65-inch screen sizes, but if you were hoping for a new 77-inch Sony QD-OLED TV in the UK this year… unfortunately you’re out of luck. Some regions worldwide may continue selling the 77-inch Sony A95L while inventory lasts, but in the UK it appears to be disappearing from the lineup altogether. I bounce back and forth between my 65" Bravia 8ii and my 77" S95F, and honestly, I couldn’t be happier.
