So beautiful such a great project. It's also nice to see good news coming out of Alberta these days
I remember these being built in the 80s-90s. When the Trans-Canada was being twinned. Such a cool sight to see at the time.
Now if we can only get a few more of these over the CP rail lines to prevent losing more bear cubs like recently.. RIP, lil one!
As a tour driver I know visitors marvel at this innovation. I hope to see more worldwide. Absolutely love being a Canadian. Absolutely love being part of a nation that leads. ❤
Thank You Government of Canada / Alberta for creating these structures, world class thinking ! First impression was awesome idea ! We are totalling committed to reducing our footprint and this is a great example here in Canada......Willie Calgary
Good stuff guys, tons of hard work by our park staff. I love the trail cam vids of these crossing.
I love these. Saw them in Montana. Making our lives easier while destroying others shouldn’t be allowed.
great work and camera to capture nature in its natural elements. love Banff
Amazing work!
❤ Canada 🇨🇦
i remember telling my parents and their friends we should be doing this when i was a 4 year old boy at their parties.
This is one of the crossings aided by Planet Wild right? I donated to that project. It looks so beautiful after such a short amount of time. I hope we get way more of these across Canada.
These were simply brilliant! They protect our wildlife and also people in cars. A friend of mine’s parents were killed when they hit a deer and it came through the windshield of their car. The deer and they were killed. I wish we hand these all over. Thank you for 30 years of dedication to your job.
I'm SO glad these are still being built
thank you parks canada for everything you do to maintain these beautiful lands
These are awesome! Been to Banff gorgeous. What great job you have!
In the 80s we carried toads across the streets in Germany. Many people made fun. But not long after it became mandatory in such areas to build tunnels for them. We have to understand that every change affects wildlife.
Remember them being built. Some animals used them right away, some took a while. Once the bushes and trees grew on the overpasses there was more of a variety of wildlife going across.
Much safer for the vehicles too. Hitting a moose is bad for everyone.
🙏💪❤️. I wish these were on every highway. Come on BC!
