2007: _Why is the rum gone?_ 2026: _Why is the ram gone?_
Due to current market conditions, my wallet will remain closed.
But Muta I was told I will own nothing and be happy
At this rate, the only steam machine I'm be able to afford will be a humidifier
At that price point, I’d rather just go back to buying a gaming laptop for almost the same price. I went to buy it as soon as I saw that it was available but the price made me change my mind almost immediately. I’ll probably just buy the controller and play via laptop when traveling. It’s not as “travel” friendly but the price point is basically nuts when people can barely even afford groceries
$950 USD for 1tb OLED. $300 price increase with no improvement is rough. The market is cooked, but at that price don't even make them.

well there goes my hope for the steam frame being afordable
Fuckin data companies.
Knowing valve, they were most likely forced to do this over the rising cost of anything semiconductor related. Funny how the AI companies expect people to use their services while also causing the price of all tech to skyrocket
We don't want to rent your machine we want to OWN OUR OWN COMPUTER
All electronics will collapse; especially luxury goods.
Well I'm not getting rid of my steamdeck any time soon
The Steam Deck is already sold out even at these prices, crazy!
aaaannnnnd...its out of stock
Market manipulation is a very real thing, they're gonna make stuff less available on purpose, make cloud based gaming, and tell you you will own nothing and be happy.
> Make computers ridiculously expensive to own by creating an artificial shortage > Sell license to use a computer instead of owning at a significant discount compared to the cost of current computer market > Profit
