Fitbit Air 👉 https://mikeobrienmedia.com/FitbitAir (affiliate link) I wore the Fitbit Air in 4 time zones, tested the sleep tracking, workouts, heart rate accuracy, battery life, and more to see if this $99 no-subscription device is actually good. I was surprised. Follow me on social media! ADDITIONAL VIDEO NOTES: FIT & COMFORT - Drying time is pretty good Stays on very well Small and discrete I think the charger should be the same as the pixel watch. Now you need to travel with two devices, or perhaps just USB-C Especially something you charge once a week, I’m likely to lose this charger HR ACCURACY Very good! R 99, R^2 98 Slight delay with intervals, especially when starting or stopping. Typical. This lag is best visualized with the gap chart GPS Accuracy - well this depends on your phone. STEP ACCURACY I woke up with 80 steps. It should be 0 I tracked 1000 steps twice. The first time, I got 967, then 994 I compared it to other trackers and this was never the highest or the lowest. I suspect it is faily accurate in step counting SLEEP ACCURACY When I am home, it tracks quite well and accurately reflects how I feel every morning Great at detecting when I fall asleep and wake up It accurately detected when I was sick and recovering in HRV & HR Recovery score felt less granular and was stuck at 15 for 3 days despite me feeling incrementally better every day 4 sleep quality metrics are fantastic insight Nap tracking - works but not very well While traveling, this was a disaster - missed nights and got so confused when I crossed the date line BATTERY I pretty much got exactly 7 days out of this Wake vibration - works really well in my opinion. Wakes me in a more natural way before my alarm Indicator light Auto tracking sensitivity - I walked a lot and many walks were tracked, but often not the correct length It learns from you Tracks many kinds of workouts You can manually track in the app (I usually do) but for walks and casual stuff, it is nice to have Does it work and track workouts when your phone is not around? APP TOUR WORKOUT SCREEN BUGS Sometimes has weird bugs. Shows me last night's sleep time + hr/hrv. Then paragraphs. Then two nights ago sleep time with last night's hr/hrv. Weird to show the wrong hr/hrv associated with two nights ago Buggy app - #2 - TCX files for weightlifting were always empty because there are no GPS data attached Cannot discard workouts afterwards (most of the time) ______

When you said you tested it while drinking Alc I knew this was the review for me
It counts ball scratching as steps.
Just got it today... Have been a year long user of Samsung Galaxy ring in combination with my beloved mechanical watches, but now the battery problem with Samsung rings has hit me, sudden half battery life and hardware troubleshoot with Samsung says faulty battery, 1 year old hardware 😮 Ordet the Google air and is enjoying it so far. :) Keep the videos coming Mike, you are excellent in what you doing.. top Quality Greetings from Denmark
I'm just envious of 9 hours of sleep
For accuracy, you should wear the watch strap so that it extends about 1 inch beyond your wrist.
6:38 he discovering live that he's a sleep walker
I brought one and love it. Thanks for THE GREAT VIDEO !!!
"It's been wild two weeks"
brand new product, brand new platform. It’ll improve with updates.
Just a note: You are not wearing the tracker properly. You have to wear it right behind the wrist bone so more fleshy part of your skin will remain in contact with the tracker even when you move your wrist.

This is easily the best review out there. Your fair and critical review of the app sets it apart. Everyone else sounds like a brochure, paraphrasing corporate talking points. Your app review matches alot what real users are saying on Reddit. You even mentioned one I haven't seen yet, the timezone issues. Great job 👍
Personally I really love the food tracking with the coach, just by taking a picture of my meal it gets the calorie count almost spot on, sometimes only a couple of kcal out
you can delete unwanted workouts with the three dots on the right of pen edit icon, maybe that will delete it from connected things too? the freebie version is much cleaner and honestly nicer. for the nap, i think if your heart rate doesn't change sufficiently to suggest sleep, it won't register sleep. like for me, it takes 5-10 mins to reach light sleep but if i rested less, then it won't register the nap because my rate just hasn't changed enough. also i think the score has to do with the ratio between rem, deep, and that middle sleep. the time zone thing is a good point I haven't heard anyone else mention yet. but it makes sense since it's only a tracker.
I want to know why i should get this instead of a galaxy or apple smartwatch?
Crazy he found out he sleepwalks because of the fitbit lol
You can turn off the AI in the settings. There’s a lot of menus to navigate but it’s possible to get AI off while having the subscription.
I'd like to use it for walking.. 1) Does it work at counting steps on a desk treadmill? 2) Assuming you GPS Phone is with you, does the Fitbit-Air/Health-App show you a map of where you walk-path? I currently use Samsung Health app, but it has issues counting steps on a treadmill?
Great video it’s definitely something I’m considering.
My FitBit Air arrived just today, and I'm still exploring it. It's replacing a Fossil Smartwatch that is gradually failing on me, so just in time. So far, the best thing about it is that it's _not_ a watch...and I can start to wear my old watches again. One thing I don't see in the new unit is a way to log my blood pressure...I may have to use another app purely for that, which is annoying.
