I'm willing to bet the redundancy door handle was not in the original or build. Probably went in after workers got locked inside during testing... multiple times.

Show how these Tesla door handles DO NOT WORK when the main battery is at 0% and the outside temp is 20° below ZERO (Fahrenheit). And also, the Tesla has been parked outside overnight while it was snowing. Good luck getting into that frozen Tesla!

Actually, in China, they made these kind of handles illegal because some people had accidents and they couldn't get them out of the car.

Tesla is know for cutting cost by reducing the amount of buttons, yet they have two options to open the door from the inside.

That Tesla’s door opening design inside/outside got banned in China this year. All cars made there onwards must have mechanical opening mechanisms.

I've been seeing that RAV4 parked near my favourite Japanese restaurant in Artarmon. Always puts a smile on my face when I spot it!
