The problem is not the chip, it's Windows.

So a well-equipped Microsoft Surface laptop is $3000. Nvidia routinely abuses their retail customers with insane prices. I think Apple will be just fine.

Microsoft couldn't pay me to use one of their products.

I gave up on windows after XP. Been switching between Mint and MacOS ever since. No looking back.

Companies need to reign this AI stuff in. It's wildly invasive. Understanding me speaking naturally is great, but don't answer like a person; it's creepy. Don't try to make friends with us. Don't try to empathize. Be a computer that answers our rambling question correctly and you'll win.

What they aren't saying is that the vast majority of PC consumers don't want or care about AI, these machines will be vastly overpriced because Jensen is the greediest SOB on the planet, and the software support will be laughably abysmal because it is once again Windows on ARM

Nvidia is betting on the wrong horse. If they made a Ubuntu laptop instead, they would have a bigger chance to challenge Apple M series laptops and at a cheaper price.
