They change numbers as fast as you report them.
Thanks for the tips but most of us don't have time to waste on these idiots, delete and report spam is the way to go for me..
One of the best things I would like to see is for Apple to change and add a delete and block number function on all the messaging.
I usually hit BLOCK then DELETE.
FYI… 7726 spells SPAM (easier to remember)
Thank you for the tips. I do most of these already but it's impossible to make a dent in this. I 've had one particular number that keeps calling regardless of blocking and reporting spam and even a spam filter like Hiya and others. No joy. The Fed Do not Call list is also a waste of time. We'll just keep trying. Thank you.
I'm curious to know, when I block a sender's email address on my iPhone, why do I continue to receive email from that email address?
For me it's keep Do Not Disturb on and set to only allow contacts to ring through. If something manages to get through I block it. I let unrecognized numbers go to voicemail and if they don't leave a message I block it. If they leave a message and I don't like it I'll block them. If I'm in the mood when the phone rings and the house is quiet I'll answer and won't say anything. Or I just may answer in Korean. Either way it confuses them and they hang up and don't call back.
If they really wanted to stop these spam texts they could.
the share text to 7726 is too complicated. They have to come up with a better way that completes all those steps
I have 10000's of blocks on my phone.
lol waayyy too much hassle
Just get Malware bytes. And silence unknown numbers. Now I ask people what number will you call me on because if they are not in my contacts it’s a no go .
How does blocking a phone number help when sometimes or maybe often they spoof numbers. One time I got a phone call from myself. The number that popped up was my number, and I surely was not calling myself to try to scam me.
Are these tips gonna work in the Uk?
WHAT’S THE POINT ??? NOBODY AND NO ONE DO ANYTHING ABOUT THOSE SPAM MESSAGES AFTER WE REPORT THEM TO THE CARRIER OR GOVERNMENT
Dude, are you nuts? Do you think people need to spend their lives reporting spam texts and calls? What an idiot you are.
Do you really think we have time to fill out forms every time we get a spam call ? ROFL.
I like the concept, but this will quickly become a part-time job. I just mark as spam and continue with my day.
thank you for your great video. what i wonder: (i have iphone 16, OS 26.5) . . . i get calls that come up as "potential spam". what constitutes potential spam? who makes the determination? is this coming from apple or my carrier? i hesitate to take action other than delete because...well... what if it's not spam?
