the 9070 gre cards will end up in pre-builts
5800X3D at $350 isn't worth it, when I have a 5700X3D for $130 from MicroCenter a year ago.
Was about to buy 9950X. i guess i buy the bare minimum 7600X, and after couple of months, i get more with the rest money.
3:15 Yup...They screwed the pooch. If the 16GB 9060XT is $349 and the 16GB 9070 is $549, naturally the 9070GRE should cost no more than $449. But that would be if it were 16GB; but since it's only 12GB, it really should be $399.
I hope Zen 7 is still on AM5.

Even taking aside the actual technical side of the GRE, we’ve been psychologically conditioned to expect a card with a suffix to be above the base/naked version, and if no one is buying them then they’re destined to become cards for pre-built companies to use to be vague and confusing about for confused parents at Best Buy getting their kids their first gaming PC.
I’m pretty sure Z6 is gonna be 11,000 and then seven will be 13,000 scene of used odd numbers for desktop CPUs and even numbers for laptop/mobile CPU for two generations now
What I'd like to see- a new DDR3 CPU with modern features geared toward budget builds or a new Motherboard that allows newer processors to work with older DDR3 memory- I've read up a bit on it and it is possible.

AMD is in a life-or-death struggle with ARM in the server market. AMD must continue expanding core count and speed. Lower-binned consumer chips also leap ahead. This benefits us, because it forces Intel to reduce power requirements as it races ahead too.

I dont really quite understand why they would release the 10xxx and 11xxx series chips back to back..? I mean, in all honesty the 9950x3d didnt come out all that long ago and is a beast of a chip. Im sure the performance gain will be fairly decent..but idk, I think a lot of people who are just looking at gaming with it and didnt buy this generation, will either look at the 10 and 11 series as too expensive for performance that they kind of dont really need, when they can opt for the cheaper, but still incredible 9800x3d or 9950x3d and get all the power theyll need for it. Now if the performance gains are sizeable enough, and the price isnt stupid high(maybe slightly higher than what the 9000 series released at) I could see even people who DID buy this generation be willing to just sell their 9000 series and upgrade, but if were talking $800+ for the CPU itself, it will be a niche card for the people who can afford it or the people who really need that level of performance. Imo the 10 and 11 x3d series chips might start reaching a point of CPU performance that is simply overkill for most gamers, and only see decent performance jumps compared to the 9000 series in the MOST CPU bound games out there(which isnt that many). Im also just skeptical of how releasing the 10 and 11 series like that wont eat into sales of one or the other...I mean theres a reason why it usually isnt done.
I'm taking that "up to 7 GHz" claim with the world's biggest grain of salt until we see an actual reveal and testing.
