A few factual mistakes, sorry about that! - The RV1126 SoC used in JetKVM and some clones is not, in fact, RISC-V, it is an Arm-based SoC (still saves a lot in cost over integrating a Raspberry Pi!) - GL-iNet also has a self-hosted dashboard for managing multiple Comets (I will have to test it!) - The FBI will (probably) not visit you for watching this video. 6:46 JetKVM uses cheap Rockchip RV1106 cpu, it is ARM chip created for video processing. So, not a RISC-V chip. Luckfox is the only company creating SDK for that RV1106 chip. The CPU is pretty specific and you can't use mainline bootloader and Linux kernel. So JetKVM used Luckfox SDK to create the OS. That's why it was so easy for Luckfox to copy the whole thing.

I put a GL-iNet Comet Pro on my 85 year old mother's computer because the Comet Pro has a Tailscale client built in so I can securely remote into it and help her when she needs it. I live an hour drive away from her and this has helped out so much.
Being disabled and having older machines I really tinker with, and breaking the os regularly from tinkering, these help me reach, and reinstall on machines stored in my basement. They kept my late-wife, and now my current partner and friend staying with me sane vs a room full of random hardware upstairs. LOL.
My NanoKvm with PCIE is amazing.
BTW, the new JetKVM sports a full-size HDMI port, but the extension port is now a little-used JST connector. Actually getting hands on one, or the accessories, is still an issue, tho.

I've been using the Sipeed NanoKVM PCIE for my home server for over a year now and it's been amazing. It was $51.26 shipped to the US via Aliexpress then and it's gone up only $10 since. I've used it almost exclusively via Tailscale and it's been amazing. The form factor has been perfect for me using an ATX platform, definitely beats having one of the other units like the JetKVM that just hang out on the exterior of the case.

I like my BliKVM v4 a lot. I love that you can pick up either a 4 or 8 way HDMI switch from them to control a ton of computers with one KVM and it's PoE. I have one v4 controlling my whole rack with HDMI ports to spare for about the cost of the fancy high end PiKVM. I have a JetKVM and I really like it, but I'd love it if they added support for the BliKVM switchers since it's just a simple USB-serial interface.
I bought the NanoKVM lite (without box or cables) for $27 :) That's hard to beat. If you can firewall it...
