Hey Louis, I work for an IT company in Australia and deal with 990 Pro SSDs in RAID1 all the time. I have seen this EXACT same issues on customer's hardware that we've sold them and it works out cheaper for us to just send them a new one then to deal with shipping it back, running tests and then creating a ticket with our distributor to just have it rejected by Samsung. So, please, please, please, for the love of all that is Holy, go through with this lawsuit and keep us updated! This issue is egregious and just shows their greed. Disgusting.

So given in their own writing they have declared they have zero warranty replacements, they're fraudulently selling new ones being unable to provide any warranty on those sales.

The bad publicity is way way way more important than making them pay more on the one case out of millions that they got sued - because it is still cheaper to go to court and lose on 1 case of millions than to honour the warranty every time.

Your confusion is that the warranty is void because it’s been in a 3rd party repair shop.

The only thing that is confusing (to them) is that you're willing to take them to Court. Thank you for standing up to these big boys who only see you as a $ sign

My friend is in Samsung SSD warranty limbo. They let him send in his SSD (870 EVO 4TB) for an RMA. Then kept avoiding giving him an equivalent replacement or repair. They offered a worse model (870 QVO), or a refund of 500 or so CAD (drive is now in stock at 2820 CAD). Citing their own warranty at them (equivalent or better replacement, or refund of the cost AT THE TIME OF THE RMA) has caused Samsung to basically ghost him. I've had my friend send them screenshots of the drive being in stock. It's been almost 2 months and his SSD is still stuck at Samsung.

As someone who sells and deploys thousands if not more of those NVMe ssds every year- it’s heartbreaking to see how poorly we get treated when we try to get warranty repairs/replacements for faulty units - we’ve never successfully got any replacements, every faulty units were sent back to us saying they worked fine at the testing facility- however they don’t work when we try to
