40 years in industry and it may have its place but I wouldn’t be using it. Nothing new in self piercing cable been about for years with very mixed results. Remember the old scotch locks for automotive cables 😱

Insulation Displacement Connectors have way too many downsides for me to ever use any. And everything in this video says "proprietary tech" and "too expensive for no valid reason".

I really like this channel because of the tools they show in their short videos. Most of them I have already purchased but still want more of them. Now my Veto Pro PAC MCT tool bag has 11Kg of weight and almost full of top quality tools specially Wera and Knipex tools.

Proprietary cables,connectors, boxes, etc., so when that one company folds you will have to completely redo the entire system. Not to mention the inflated costs for everything.
Interesting choice for the order of the conductors. I would have made the three phases adjacent in order to reduce inductance per metre and so reduce cable reactance and hence volt drop. I also wonder about induced voltage in the cpc/earth conductor from the magnetic field in the gap between the phase wire at one edge and the other two phases. I would have gone for cpc, N, L1, L2, L3. It would be interesting to do a few experiments to test out my theory on this. And I wouldn't trust the idc connections for long term reliability.
If you just ran the original feed cable to the end it would be faster and a lot less likely to fail 🤷♂️
