Microsoft is notorious for making big claims about their quantum computing progress that don't really hold up. don't hold your breath

This is not Microsoft's fault. There's a fundamental difficulty here. Claims require proof, and quantum claims require quantum proof. This paper exists in a state that encompasses all ten slots of the BS meter until observed. Upon observation, you either get a paper with a clear trajectory towards success, but very vague data on the study's actual results, or you get a very accurate depiction of the state of the study with little indication as to where it's going, or it's rate of progress. You can't have both, guys. It's basic quantum physics.
This is not the second time they claim such things. It’s at least the third time.
Microsoft is pretty famous for vaporware in it's marketing. Me, I would give it a full 10 on the meter. To MS, prove it, with independent researchers doing the testing, in separate labs. Then publish, otherwise for me it is following in your vaporware history.

Microsoft is amazing in selling the same software for 30 years and still make people pay a montly subscription for it. So making a better version of a useless product that dont work it as expected.
