Lancool IV lacks the huge HDD basement with room for four caddies that the Lancool III had. What a bummer. And, yes, HDDs are still relevant, especially in today's storage climate. EDIT: I stand corrected. Apparently, there is still room for 4 HDDs (if you're not repurposing the basement as a fan mounting area, like the setup showcased at this year's Computex) in the lower chamber. Their previous prototype didn't have that. The only thing that makes me nervous is the absence of a structural "pillar" at the front - for when I want to carry what I assume will also be a pretty hefty case. I would have liked some reinforcement there, not just glass.

I bought a 'solid' Fractal meshify 2 compact case with no glass panels, old-school style, and I gotta say I don't miss the RGB lights at all and it's quieter.
