love the console idea, my parents have the same and I agree with needing something under there! BUT candles not the lamp, the lamp will be annoying watching the telly and also the lamp intercepts the tv view. TRUST me, candles and a little dress up with decor, plus the light from the lamp while watching tv won't be as cozy as watching with candles xx

console idea is a yes but defo needs to be longer than the TV. doesn't look right being the same length as the TV makes it look really chunky and weirdly proportioned. The lamp can then sit on the outside and not block the screen. Love the plant tho its very cute and suits the space

think I think you need to go bigger with tv unit if you want one, bugger lamps and bigger plants (I prefer real ones) and get some tinted walls with warm beiges
