Nearly everyone thinks all homeless people are junkies. I wish they could see where I am right now. I live in a shelter for disabled people and their families. There are elderly people here. There are veterans. And there are children. Many, many children. Most of us aren't here because of drugs or alcohol, we're here because there is a housing crisis and accessible housing? Not easily found. I've been here two years, and today, I put in an application for an apartment that would be ideal. So any good thoughts and prayers for me and my daughters would be highly appreciated.
