I had a new F350 tailgate stolen in Temple Tx in 2009. I was on an electrical job there. One of the first years for the tailgate cameras. Damn thieves.

I know it's not you or your dealership thats the problem but I mean $1500 for tail lights and $3500 for a tail gate might be the reason why they're being stolen in the first place

This happened to my brother in law who lives in san antonio six months ago. He bought a new ford maverick truck and they stole his tail lights and cut the wiring harness. Each tail light was about $1300 and the wiring harness was about $400. Total just in parts was $3000. Surprisingly they didn't steal the tailgate. This happened in his driveway.
This is why I haven’t been to San Antonio since the early 1980s and have NO DESIRE to spend any of my money in that city!
