For those who are confused, in this episode dean(guy with the gun) was hit with a spell that gradually reduced his age intelligence, the post it was on the gun, the part about the girl not caring is actually that she didn't believe the post it was actually true, and when sam(tall guy) pointed at the male witch(one with glasses) he was telling dean who the witch was in the most basic instructions ever(fyi: what I meant about the spell is that his age intelligence was getting younger while he still kinda remembered everything else, hence why he could still shoot a gun and could recognize the girl as a witch)

It always bothered me in later seasons when they have so many different bullets to use on various creatures or demons or witches that they never had a scene where they used the wrong one. Or a scene where they had to kill a person like when they fought the British men of letters and then realize they just used silver really expensive bullets on just some dudes.

I think what’s the most interesting about this scene, is that Dean after assessing the situation deemed Sam to be the bigger threat over the witch? He almost shot Sam not because he forgot who his brother was. He almost shot Sam because he realized if he had to get into a fight with only one of the two Sam would be more of a problem than the witch would be.
