I worked at a jiffy lube a long time ago and we had some freedom to say the least. I had a regular that would come in when I worked(I dailyed a 74 4 door nova and figured I'd love his old stuff) anytime I hired a new guy I would have him bring in one of his old air cooled VW for them to do the oil change on and would stress HARD that the filter needed to be changed. Id let the new guy sweat for a long time ๐๐

It sucks to see such a corporate response from them. I donโt blame the guy either, btw. I just hope that anyone corporate seeing this realizes how big of a win this could be. You change the oil and all of a sudden you got the perfect โvalvine can change the oil on anythingโ commercial. If you try and fail to change the oil, everyone would completely understand why and it wouldnโt be blamed on you. Itโs a total win from a marketing standpoint. What a missed opportunity.
