You've reached the end
There is a really simple solution: Station Wagon. And get a 4wd station wagon if you go off road.
But if they don't get a dual cab Ute or a ranger based vehicle, how will they let the other drivers know that they are massive morons with anger issues?
How can I be expected to take my laptop to the office without a ute???!!
I'll paraphrase the ad... don't send a ute to do a hatchback's job. We all used to tow just fine with Falcons and Commodores.
Couple of months ago I saw someone promoting to sell his 8 year old Hilux with bull bar, snorkel and lift kit and proudly stating "never gone off road"
After 3x double cab utes, now have a station wagon, trailer, and roof rack. Cheaper, simpler, more versatile, and easier to park. Love it and haven't looked back.
Spot on lads. An suv is a much better and more practical choice for the vast majority of families.
90% of people don't use Utes for Ute things.
Seeing majority of cars with just the driver makes me think that a lot of us just need a motorcycle for the daily.
Dual Cabs are just SUVs for men.
My commodores been on off road tracks that most brand new ford ranger drivers would not go on.
Haha besides the hair my German Shepard fits in the back of my 6 wagon.
So many not a Jazz owners problem.
Fun fact. My mate has a Ranger and can't fit a Kings gazebo long ways in his tray. But I can fit the gazebo in the back of my E87 1 series with the back seats down. 🤷♂️ A wagon version of a ute (mux, Fortuner, Pajero Sport, Everest) is better in the majority of situations.
Bring back the falcon ute. 2 doors, 2 wheel drive, comfort of a falcon with the utility of a tray. Mine's getting on in KM's (590,000) but I couldn't imagine having another car.
Totally agree. That’s why I bought a second hand 2WD Navara for the camping trips and taking the mountain bikes out. Wife has the family car which is an Outback. Chuck a pod on top of that and we can fit 2 kids and a dog in the back no worries for those long road trips.
Have you seen the price it costs to hire a dual cab ute
Few things anger me like drongos buying vehicles that are completely inappropriate to their usage/needs of a motor vehicle. Unless you’re lugging cords of oak, bags of cement, and other huge heavy things on the regular, you do not need nor should own a dual cab Ute, especially not purpose-built ones meant for serious usage. Regular Utes exist, for one, but even then, unless one tows on the regular and moves huge furniture periodically, a wagon is more than enough car one could possibly need. In short, less is more; don’t use a heavy-hauler lorry to do the job of a compact hatchback.
Even for Off-road stuff they are not first choice. They are for transporting 1000kg of bricks around
Sedans are underrated. I've camped, and thrown my dog in the back seat. No problem.
