Usually don’t defend jazz but I understand what he means. He’s saying the pitchers stuff isn’t overpowering, or doesn’t have a tremendous amount of break on them. What he’s describing is an old-school style pitcher who just knows how to pitch by changing speeds at the right time, hitting multiple parts of the plate with great accuracy, and knowing how to disrupt the timing of the hitting in different ways. Trevor Williams is solid at all those things.
