I was 22 when I moved from Russia to the USA. I spoke some English, but I had troubles understanding 😅 It was a great journey 😊 Since then I moved a few more countries. And I would never change anything in this part of my life. I learnt so much and met so many people and cultures. Honestly, moving is so much fun 😀🫰
Good for you for doing what felt right for you and not letting family or anyone influence you.. it’s hard to leave people and your “old” life behind so this is a big move and it’s inspiring

U r going to love San Diego. Idk which part of San Diego u r living but its all beautiful. From 1980 to 1985 I lived in Alpine about 10 minutes away from Santee and El Cajon. It was an awesome little town but has grown substantially. I am 62 now and live in Lake Isabella but if I could I would move back there without giving it a second thought.❤
