All I have to say is thank goodness all this was figured out before baby #2's arrival. Couldn't imagine trying to do all of that with a newborn and moving into the holiday season as well. Also to have a trusted person you can call to get this resolved is so relieving, since that is usually the biggest hurdle. Of course it's not ideal, it will all be fresh and beautiful in no time. 🧡
We had the same thing happen to our kitchen years back. We now have water alarms under all our sinks and under/near any appliance that has water. Little hockey puck shaped sensors. Some are sensors that tie into an app, some are ones that just have an auditory alert (so someone would need to be home to hear it). It’s not a fool proof solution, but it gives us some peace of mind. Maybe it would help you too. 🫶
The sea is so relaxing.
I always think when really horribly inconvenient things happen it could be protection from something else. Thank goodness it happened now and not in a couple of months time when you have a newborn and builders and plumbers are likely to be very busy over the winter months. You have such a good attitude to stress. ❤
