The “poverty” button thing is both true and not true like yes the wires for heated seats is there but the actual part that heats the seats is not in the seat so putting in the button won’t magically give you heated seats or many of the other options where these buttons are

I marked my oil filter with sharpie once before at firestone and I kid you not the mechanic gave me the most "are you serious look" through the window as I watched him to make sure. Like yes im paying you to do your job.

If the poverty button is for a heated seat and you didn't pay for the heated seat, then you adding a button is not going to do anything because the heater is not physically in the seat

Pulled seats for my wifes 04 Mini out of a 2012 model. The only thing they lacked was being heated, as the car I pulled them from did not have the option, when I went to rewire them for the airbags built into them, to my surprise there was an extra set of thick wiring tucked up in them. They both were heated, and my wife got her heated seats.

If you didn't know, that timing belt hack does not work. When you have to replace the belt, you most likely have to also re-time the cam gears.

That timing belt trick seems great until you realize it's probably best to replace other components like water pump, belt tensioner, and idler pulleys that require the belt to be fully removed. Honestly, anyone looking for a "shortcut" probably shouldn't be replacing timing belts DIY.

Use white paint on bolts. Red makes it obvious and anyone can know to simply loosen and tighten it to make it look like they did something.
