As it starts to get warmer...check your helmets! Australian's know the fear all too well, that sensation that something fuzzy is where it shouldn't be, then the subtle movement, the knowledge there is something lurking in a place you don't want to check and is already far too close for comfort. A bit of a break from the legal explainers in this one, but as always, look forward to reading any questions you've got! #australia #lawyer #roadrules

FOR A SECOND I THAWT IT WAS A SEAGULL
My dad told me a cautionary tale when I started riding. He just hit the highway and the extra vibration caused the huntsman in his helmet to climb down the visor. He closed his eyes tilted his head back and said a prayer then flicked the visor open as quickly as possible. The huntsman got blasted off thankfully but dad had to check his undies when he got off.
Yes that is every Aussie's nightmare. I've heard stories of them coming down the inside of the visor.
Perfect timing as you brushed your hair that bird flew over 😂
Friendly reminder that you should always check your boots, gloves, and helmet, for friends
Stopped at lights on a club ride. Rider at front jumps off bike, strips off his jacket, then proceeds to jump on it.... repeatedly. Something had stung him on his arm. A couple of other riders got his bike upright after everyone had stopped laughing over the exaggerated comedic jumping up and down - he was really pissed at whatever it was. Then his jacket was examined so the remains of the critter was identified. In order to determine if he needed hospitalisation, asap. A squished wasp indicated _nope..._ After all that, he wore his gloves correctly, and without the zips on his jacket sleeves open for a bit of ventilation.
Shoes and helmets, always check before putting on.
I've had two bees sting me in the neck while riding. Takes so much effort to maintain focus and find somewhere to pull over calmly.
Straya mate, check your helmet and clothes for spiders, check your boots for spiders, snakes, scorpions, centipedes, ants, toads, and all the rest of the bitey critters that want a piece of you here
I know exactly how you feel. I had a huntsman crawl across my face behind my glasses when I was driving!
Happened to my mate, we were on a remote work crew, 6 of us rushing to get on shift after a heavy night on the rum. He shoved his foot into his boot then jumped to the ceiling ripping it off. He hurled the boot right across the room and hit one of the other blokes in the head. There was one of those skink lizards in there, poor bugger got such a fright its tail fell off as it scurried under a locker. My mate was forever know as Skink after that. Which he really likes, told me he’s never had a proper nickname before.
You know when a Hunstman is on your head. Feels like a large human hand resting on you out of nowhere.
...Then the spider that was after the moth jumps out...
Hey Man , I was rite behind you on your bike on general homes Dr Sat morning , how funny , was watching your video same morning
Its a uniquely Australian experience.
Everyone always thinks its a huntsman....never a funnelweb.
Huntsmen aren't that bad. As long as you don't attack them. Spiders are actually good omens.
Hey James, your clothing isn't made for protection when riding a motorcycle. Please James wear protective motorcycle apparel in the event of a motorcycle accident.
There's a plague of Bogong moths in eastern Australia at the moment.
I had my visor cracked a little to let in some breeze and a bee flew straight in! Boy did I stop quick. But that wasn't the worst. Once on a back road on the way back from the horse paddock a green ant started biting my forehead. That was the day I learned how to do an emergency stop! From a hundred to zero in two seconds lol.
