reading vlog - seeing how many books I can read while my husband reads one👀🫶

I thought I was a fast reader but 170 pages in an hour is essentially superhuman!

Reading 50-60 pages an hour is really good! I think the average human reading speed is about 40 pages, so Maya is just super fast! I wish I could read faster, it‘s really insane to me reading a whole 400 page book an a day, that would mean I have to read for 10 hours 😮

I saw something before about having an internal dialogue is correlated with slower reading and not having one is correlated with faster reading, wondering if this true for y’all

I know Maya's a faster reader, but I think reading a book you have read before goes faster than reading it for the first time

Oh wow these books are a throwback! Genuine question for Hunter: did you have to get into reading, or did you already enjoy it? I’ve tried to do a similar thing with my bf and he just cannot finish the books we choose, (which are typically YA or Adult, and we have tried several genres.) I love reading, and would really like to do it with him, but even when we sit down for an hour, he ends up getting distracted and gives up on reading. I’m very open to any tips anyone may have, because he has told me he wants to read with me, but just can’t get into it. Love yall! ✨💕

My daughter started reading these when she was 14 or 15 and prior to reading them, she absolutely HATED reading. This series turned that around for her and I’m so grateful. Let them READ!
