Fill it with diesel......to the top of the intake...level to the carb mount.....if it goes down in a cpl days or a week then its soaking in....thats what ive done 20+ years ago.....worked for me

The nay sayer’s aren’t wrong, all the stuff you poured over the rocker arms ran into the valley, and also into the oil pan. The stuff you poured in the carburetor would be sitting on top of the pistons or in the intake runners.

Brake fluid down the plug holes leave it for 24hrs.

Such an easy motor too pull and rebuild

I've used transmission fluid a couple times. Had to sit for about a week. But worked really well. Good luck man, keep us posted.

The cylinders are rusted solid

FOR CRYIN OUT LOUD !! The only way to CORRECTLY free up the engine is to pull it out, take it apart degrease it derust it remachine it as needed replace necessary parts and reassemble it!!

If you keep taking off parts, soon you will have an empty engine bay and enough space to install a new engine, which is what you should have done in the first place

Part 3 Please

oil in the lifter gallery was probably from when you poured it over the rockers and pushrods since it is a straight shot around the pushrods.

Use a 50/50 mix of ATF and Acetone. Pour it in each cylinder and anywhere else you want it to break free. Works like a charm if you let it sit a week or so in most cases.

PB Blaster down the plug holes for a week will loosen the pistons. I did this on my Mopar 440 magnum engine.

Transmission fluid and acetone 50/50 mix. If it’s going to break free. That’s the combo

Ive got heads, intake manifolds, carburetors, exhaust manifolds, crankshafts, pistons, new old stock ring sets, distributors, everything for that engine. Also tons of interior, radios, clusters, trim, etc. Ive got like 40 of everything. All the way up to 426s, 440s, not as many of those tho... if anyone wants original parts...

Whatever you got do to save that good ole 383 is great! Love those big block Mopars 😎😎
