Actively sleeping outside, just so happened to get a chance to listen thanks to some public wifi. All it took for me was developing a few chronic illnesses, medical care in this country is a joke so it just means I don't get to participate. No lack of trying either, I was doing well in nursing school before my health took a turn
I help my family members so that they will keep a roof over their heads. I can’t imagine how awful that it would be to be homeless.
The man talking about the policies in Finland is spot on. There are ways to solve the problem of homelessness but so many will not accept that truth.

The wheels are falling off
Things in America are far FAR worse than the media is telling people. We are on the verge of a 1929 type of depression RIGHT NOW.
Yet EVERYONE was celebrating people losing their EBT benefits and Section 8... and most of the people receiving benefits are the WORKING poor.
This is what a crumbling country looks like. Someone, who has a say, is tired of Sodom and Gomorrah…i.e. US. Someone named G O D.
I make over 90$ an hour. Live in my truck. Made 7k last week. Only got 3500$ on the check. It hurts me to think about what this country has become. When I was a kid you could hitchhike the whole country with a few bucks in your pocket.
If you want to know the answer to that question, it's called greed and capitalism..
For the majority of people who are not millionaires, this economy was made for you to save money and leave.
The people who live comfortably today have the sheer will to never take failure as an option!.
The price of renting an apartment or buying a home has been out of control since this country voted for Barack Obama as president, and the cost of living and inflation increased drastically when Biden became president. I'm not saying our current president is helping matters, but some commodity prices have decreased, though. The lack of housing has been a problem since the great recession because of the bad loans that were given out then you have to account for the illegal immigrants being taken care of first over the average American by housing those who enter this nation illegally with the help of the poliicians that support the cause, so voters voted for this and for the inflation rate you can expect this increase to keep going for another ten years. So, the government wants able-bodied people to work more than a 40-hour workweek with two or more jobs because that places them in higher tax brackets, paying higher taxes.
This is not an issue of homelessness. This is an issue of The Murder of 300 million people by creating conditions in society that is impossible to provide for your family.
I just about find myself in that situation
All it takes is a blown engine or broken finger.
