My mother and I watched this documentary. At 23:00, the researcher describes some of her experiments with peas. The nervous system’s gliotransmission communicates with neurons to influence synaptic transmission. Voltage-gated channels trigger these complex cellular interactions. Electrical signalling is not dissimilar from lightning bolt activity, always trying to find a path to connection until succeeding. From 31:02 onwards, she summarises so well the most important truth in life. After watching this, my brother and I experienced these connections firsthand.
