I have a massive amount of respect for the woman who was running the private bus service. Many people here in the United States wouldn't have the courage to not back down from a military officer, much less in North Korea. It's the people like her that will end up changing that nation for the good. I hope she's doing well. 💛
It's amazing how these people are risking their lives to rebel against the north korean government. It shows how we should never take what we have for granted. Amazing Documentary.
I wish the North Koreans could realize that we Americans do not hate them. Most of us genuinely wish we could help rescue them from their pain and suffering. Those poor innocent civilians are being treated worse than wild animals. Even a lot of soldiers. I wish there was a way for us to help them.
Man, when all the ppl in North Korea realize that they have been wronged, lied to, manipulated, but most importantly deprived of their basic human rights i hope I'm alive to witness when this regime is defeated and these ppl can live free without fear and injustice.
I feel great sympathy for the people who were unfortunate enough to be in North Korea., especially due to never-ending Western sanction. 😔

That woman running the bus service standing up to that officer, pushing him around, was GANGSTER AS HECK! She is a mad lass, absolute legend. Love it.
One of the best documentaries I have ever seen as far as exclusive footage is concerned. I love Frontline. Narrator always kills it. Very underrated documentaries in my opinion.

I’m amazed at how isolated the North Koreans are from the rest of the world after the two teenage girls referred the Russians and Russia “Soviets” and “Soviet Union”
I'm so happy for the dad that got his whole family out. That's a man with resolve and a plan. But I feel so awful for the people that had to leave their families behind.
My grandfather said the one war he fought in he always said the south Korean people were always so appreciative and till the day he passed away he said it was the one time in all the wars he fought in that he truly felt like a hero. Brought me to tears hearing some of these peoples stories. I pray north koreans are able to escape. Wish all south Koreans many blessings and those dealing with trauma our hearts are with you.
If you live in freedom, NEVER take it for granted.
The fact those 2 young women call Russians as Soviets and the Soviet Union is insane since the Soviet Union hasn't been a thing for over three decades now.

This is so depressing! There are so many people in South Korea including my husband who think that 3 generation of power by one family means that North Koreans are content with their lives. .. I say it is a suppression and dominance by one family who live well and full off the backs of their poor citizens except for those living in Pyung Yang.. this is shameful and North Korean regime must be brought down
I had no idea conditions were this horrible in North Korea. My heart goes out to them, especially the children.
